Rights

With reference to the article titled, "In Shades of Gay", published in Hindustan Times, dated 13th Aug'08 :
We are celebrating 61 years of Indian independence. It is a matter of pride for us that in such a short span of time, we are very close to the already advanced nations in technology and brilliance.
But, are we basking under the rights of equality bestowed on us by the independent India's constitution? Why are वे questioning the sexual rights of our fellowmen?
Our respective religious leaders (no offences meant), have been emphasising upon the fact that Homosexuality is against nature, that GOD created manto love a woman,etc.,etc. If that is so, then man was not created to fly even(But we do take that path to travel ) as per convenience!
Why are we debating over an issue which is solely a matter of self-discretion? A matter which does not at all concern your and my affairs of life? A matter which is not worth thinking before the giant issues of education, terrorism, racial discrimination , confronting us?
Thes homosexual people are as straight as each one of us. They are not terrorists, or rapists or murderers. And we are still making their lives dreadful and miserable.
