Our caste has become important than 'Us'

2 deaths, consecutively, in different settings(one in a village in Bihar and another in Ghaziabad), because of marrying into another caste has shattered my celebrations of the freedom of our nation and Bapu's B'day. Do we deserve the festivities??, looking at our inhibitions about religion, castes, sub-castes, regions, language.......??
